The iF DESIGN AWARD was first awarded in 1953 as a symbol of outstanding design achievement that focuses on the innovative power of packaging design.
For over 60 years, designers and manufacturers have tried to win the renowned iF label for design. Winning the iF DESIGN AWARDS is big for designers and carton box suppliers alike.

Hosted in Munich, Germany, the iF DESIGN AWARDS 2019 had over 6,300 entries from 50 countries with 67 judges from 20 countries in attendance. After careful examination by the judges, only 66 designs received the iF Gold Awards.

No LID by BR Korea CO
Designed by BR Korea CO., Ltd, based in Seoul, Korea, their packaging aimed for an eco-friendly solution. It is composed of biodegradable paper material, and it is not only better for the environment, but also economical.
2. PACKAGING PARACHUTE COFFEE
Designed by a Germany based company, this packaging looks like a packed up parachute, with the backpack straps and ripcords. Indeed a solid packaging.
Parachute coffee delivers their products to the world, and they needed a packaging to match their delivery in terms of distance and strength of the material.
3. WOODSERIES NO. 1
The Woodseries No.1 packaging was designed by another German-based company, Ruska, Martin, Associates GmbH.
Looking at the packaging, the wood label, it activates your senses, making you thirsty for what’s in the bottle: It’s a fine wine aged in French oak.
4. 7UP VINTAGE PACK 2018
Designed by PepsiCo Design and Innovation, a New York-based company, the soda brand made it among the 66 with their vintage 7UP cans.
The six cans have a modern look and at the same time references the brand’s history. Each had a unique design, all designed by different artists.
5. GOLDEN SPIRAL
The Golden Spiral packaging was designed by X2 Create Multiple Design, a Taiwan based company. Golden Spiral is a French dessert shop, and its packaging is indeed unique and beautiful.
As you open the packaging, twelve pieces of exquisite chocolate unfold before you. The chocolate packaging is unlike any packaging that has ever been designed.
6. IMPROVIDE CO., LTD.
This Japan-based company manufactures its packaging. Their package design takes a minimalist approach, taking away all the extraneous info and design element.
This Jam producing company turns its Jam jars into little pieces of art, making each jar a collector’s item.
7. POLA B. A COLORS LIPSTICK EYEPOWDER
This is another Japan-based company who produces their packaging. With a minimal approach to it, this makeup packaging has sultry hues and sharp angles to turn heads.
Cast a ray of light from different angles on this packaging, and you will see different beautiful colours.
8. DR. TUNG’S ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FLOSS
Designed by an Italian company, the packaging is made with paperboard, safe for the environment, and can be recycled after use. It has a splash of blue that gives it a nice look to brighten up the paperboard.
9. THORNDOWN
This Paint company had its packaging designed by Brown&Co The Brand Collective Ltd. The designer added splashes of colour that show local wildlife in the UK’s scenic West Country.
The packaging looks playful, thereby making a painting look like so much fun rather than a tedious activity.
10. RENOMED
The scissors company did its packaging itself. When you look at the packaging, the common household item (scissors) doesn’t feel like a common household item.
The packaging made the item a luxury to behold. The shape and texture create an experience for customers who get their hands on this product.
11. ZERO BOX – TAPE FREE SHIPPING BOX
This packaging company has a patented cardboard lock system. Zero Box means no tape necessary.
They manufacture their packaging with materials that aren’t harmful to the environment. The boxes can be reused and recycled.
